What is Sexual Violence?
The phrase "sexual violence" refers to a broad range of unwanted, coercive, and unconsented sexual behaviors and activities.
It may also go by the names of rape, date rape, sexual abuse, exploitation, and human trafficking.
Additionally, there are various types of cyber violence and cyber sexism, such as sexual harassment, indecent exposure, forced sexual actions between children, stalking, and exposing or disseminating sexual photographs without authorization.
Sexual assault can occur repeatedly or in a single instance.
It might be committed by a single individual or a group of people. The same individual or people can violate multiple people at once.
The goal of sexual assault is to exert authority and control over an individual or group of individuals.
Power and Control
Violence of any kind is violence. Period. It is about arrogance, superiority, strength, control, and humiliation. Power disparities resulting from systematic oppression and gender inequality lead to sexual assault.
